Rescued Pulis are the Pulis that need to be re-homed for some reasons. More often than not, the reason lies with the dog's owner, but not with the dog. The former Puli owner could have experienced allergy, he or she might have moved or their situation could have changed drastically.
A rescue Puli is normally an adult dog. Having adopted it, you will not have to deal with raising and training of silly little pups. However, handling a rescue dog can be even more difficult than handling a puppy. Odd behaviors or some temperamental problems can crop up when you least expect them. Most of the rescue dogs have been abandoned by their former owners and are confused and disoriented.
Try to find out everything possible about the background of the rescue Puli you want to adopt. Before adopting a dog, you should meet it not only once. Taking a dog for a walk somewhere in unfamiliar surroundings will tell you much about its possible reactions and your potential to cooperate in general.
You will be given an application form to fill out and you will be asked many questions about your family and home. It is done to make sure you will make a suitable adoptive home for a rescue Puli. Rescue Pulis can adapt well to their new situation and will pay you back with loyalty and unconditional love.
